About Richard Neuman
Richard Neuman is an experienced “hands on” executive whose expertise includes general management, project management and operations. He is skilled in the management of complex, multi-faceted relocation, space planning, facility redesign and construction projects. In addition, he has managed the daily functions of sophisticated operations. His extensive background also encompasses sales, marketing and special events and his industry experience includes broadcasting, publishing and health care.
Richard is currently a partner at Relocation Management; an owners rep firm. He and his firm are hired by both tenants and owners to oversee all facets of site selection, lease administration, facility design and construction as well as site renovation and relocation. Richard acts as his clients’ advocate assuming the role of Owner/Tenant Rep. In this capacity he plans and directs the efforts of a project’s sub-contractors such as architects, general contractors, landlords and property managers as well as the tenant’s vendors.
Prior to joining Relocation Management Solutions, Richard was Vice President of Broadcast Facilities & Operations at News Broadcast Network. During his 12 years there he was also Executive Producer of Live and Special Events and Director of Operations. His background also includes General Manager at Times Square Studios, sales and marketing at Metropolis Studios and New York City Studios and the founding and running of a weekly employment newspaper for college students.
Richard has used his rich and varied background and expertise to produce outstanding results for his clients. For example:
- He managed the on-site and off-campus departmental relocation projects for Mount Sinai Medical Center’s hospital, School of Medicine, laboratories and administrative departments; executing it in a manner that minimized any impact on staff and services.
- He turned around a failing operation that had no sales, generating $1 million in sales the first year and $8 million over 5 years. He did this by directing all strategic planning, sales, business development, marketing and facilities redesign efforts.
- Richard conceptualized, designed and managed construction of a state of the art broadcast television and radio facility. This included site selection, space planning, HVAC and electrical requirements, live transmission, interior design and layout of the technical plant.
- He also substantially improved a business’ market position by performing due diligence and developing and executing a strategy to acquire two competitors. In addition, he also managed the delicate post-acquisition integration of personnel, systems and equipment.
In recognition of his subject matter expertise, Richard is regularly featured in the New York Real Estate Journal. He also writes a weekly blog as a way of sharing his pre and post construction, relocation and facility maintenance knowledge.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Ithaca College.
